This image, taken by NASA’s OSIRIS-REx (Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security, Regolith Explorer) Mission, reveals the vast gulf between the Earth and the Moon. It is also the furthest humanity has ever gone. In one image, taken 3.2 million miles away, we can see our greatest leap.

This is the deep power of space photography!
